First Impressions
“Before I met Jessica I had always thought of massage as a form of physical therapy in which I was a passive recipient of whatever was being done to my body. Jessica invited me to take a different approach though; my sessions with her are interactive, and rather than being just a slab of meat, cartilage and bone to be kneaded and manipulated, I become a participant. We work together to find and move the frustrated clumps of energy that I’ve managed to block at various points in my body, to improve their humor and invite them to move on. And that’s just the physical aspect of our sessions. If you are willing to go there with her, Jessica will invite you on a metaphysical and spiritual journey as well. Since I believe that the physical and spiritual are inseparable and at times nearly indistinguishable, I welcome the invitation to play, and the result is frequently a state of bliss that lasts for quite awhile after I’ve left the massage table and Jess’s studio and noodled my way back home. Don’t just take my word for it though, give Jessica a call and find out for yourself. I’m pretty sure I know what you will decide.” David
Bodywork performed out of a clarity of mind, heart and purpose. I will treat you with respect and wonder. This is very important to me and I feel it should be for you too. It’s your body we’re talking about here that you’re getting massaged. Choose to interact with an individual who intends to serve and honor you and your process. In this era of Groupon massage discounts it’s interesting to me how fastfood bargain oriented we can become. If you think about the time spent moving your body from one undesired place to another, feeding it convenient food and ignoring it’s needs…wouldn’t it be nice to stop for an hour or so and really say thanks to it, give it some good quality attention, unite once again body and mind? Left unattended to, our bodies will rise up and make themselves heard through a stiff neck, aching back, anxiety or even digestive disorders. There are choices to be made around the quality of life we live, might as well have one that feels healthy and satisfied.
My practice is sort of boutique bodywork. I specialize in the healing arts and the spiritual journey. You will never feel rushed or like a number here. I am in love with what I do.
